This is the very first brass quintet I've ever composed and published! It offers opportunities for each player to shine starting with the horn, which has this entrancing melody with a higher range at the beginning, with the trombone and tuba helping to back it. This leads to the first trumpet having high leading notes and beautiful harmonies from each instrument. With a waltz section in the middle to show off the second trumpet, with the first getting a counter melody. At the end, all the instruments build up to this very dramatic ending with the trombone taking the lead with its bell tone like accents and the trumpets having an optional high E and C sharp. As well as the tuba and trombone getting their moments within the middle of the piece, with harmonies and melodies, with the trombone going up to a high B.
